When extremist candidates took over the Ottawa County Commission in 2022 and changed much of what the county stood for, Marcia Mansaray emerged as a courageous voice for the community: She spoke to the impact of politically driven attacks on funding and services for public health and pushed back against efforts to undermine and silence the Department of Public Health.
